The Work We Do:

Improv Medicine uses the craft of improvisation to help build healthy and trusting relationships  between service professionals and clients. Our work facilitates opening lines of communication and understanding by safely exploring the roles we engage in with others to bring a presence and awareness back into our professional and personal lives. We tailor our work to meet your needs. Staff retreats, conferences, or even a workshop during the lunch break, Improv Medicine works with you to create the most effective experience for your group. Looking for a performance? We do that as well! Let us come entertain and inspire using improvisation! Our performances are interactive and feature various skits, monologues and improv activities that we design based on your needs and theme.

Dr. Arti Prasad, Professor and Chief of General Medicine, Geriatrics, and Integrative Medicine, and the Founder and Executive Director of the UNM Center for Life had this to say about our performance at the 2016 SIMPLE Conference:

"An incredible performance/improv medicine show last night. A brilliant idea that you have brought to execution. Honestly, I have never seen a show like this. My daughter learnt improv in school but you have applied it beautifully to express and share almost all of the human emotions in a health care setting with a mixed audience. It makes us all humans - whether we are a patient or a provider - and we all have emotions which we suppress a lot of the time in an patient- provider encounter. You and your team touched my heart both as a physician and as a patient. To express and share effectively to connect with the inner core of people is a skill and a mode of healing and your show did that for me and I am sure it had a similar effect on you all as well as the performers. It was a profound experience for me last night and I thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart for being part of SIMPLE.

Keep up the great work of healing the humanity."
